DLM Construction Corp

In 2013 my wife and I bought a 1951 cottage style house in Sag Harbor in needed of renovation. Fortunately for us, we hired DLM Construction and its two talented brothers Don and Scott Moore. Quality construction, talented craftsmen and a clean work site were among the many things we appreciated about DLM. All the people who worked for DLM were thoughtful, careful and talented. DLM are on time contractors who completed our job at our agreed upon price and on time. 

Don and Scott were always professional when we faced a change in our plans, and we always managed to find a high-quality improvement to our original idea. Our final renovation more than met our expectations, and today we still admire the workmanship and careful way choices were made and created by DLM. 

Years after our initial renovation, we maintain and ongoing relationship with DLM. They stand by all their original work and have handled additional small and large projects for us. This distinguishes Don and Scott More and DLM from many of their contemporaries. They remain committed to their customers. On our recommendation they recently also handled a beautiful, large renovation of a home in Amagansett for my sister and brother-in-law. We loved working with Don and Scott More and would enthusiastically recommend them for any residential construction project whether large or small.

I cannot recommend DLM Construction more enthusiastically.  Don, Scott, Pete, and their entire extended team do great work and are eager to involve us and explain in clear detail every aspect of the job, and to patiently answer questions (no matter how dumb). 

They also work happily and creatively with our architect (Debbi Kropf, also highly recommended), regularly evolving and improving the design and flexibly incorporating new ideas. 

We had heard all the usual horror stories about undependable contractors and so entered the process with dread, expecting the worst. DLM quickly put all those fears to rest. These guys are a pleasure to work with and together we are building a fabulous, pride inspiring cottage.

Don, Scott and Pete are the best. DLM Construction Corp.’s professionalism and work ethic has inspired us to retain them for several home construction/renovation projects over the past 8+ years. DLM provides the highest quality craftsmanship, insightful design advice, attention to detail and reasonable cost. I have worked with Don for more than a decade. He and his team have done large and small projects for us and all have turned out great. He is always there for emergencies and is reliable and honest. I am proud to call him a trusted friend.  

I have worked with Don Moore (DLM Construction) for more than 16 years (2008) on big and small projects in Remsenburg. The most recent and biggest project was a significant expansion of the house. The new construction included two floors with bedrooms, a family room, garage, den and two laundry rooms. The project went reasonably smoothly with Don and his staff responding to any glitch or change expeditiously.

Don was always available to discuss issues as they arose, big or small, providing advice and an opinion when needed. He will be working on a new renovation project this winter. Don’s work on earlier projects, which included decorative upgrades and a new shed, as well as numerous small projects, gave me confidence that he would be the ideal choice for the recent and most complicated project. Don managed numerous sub-contractors, changing them, when necessary, as well as developing a good working relationship with the designer.  

DLM is a family business so over the years I’ve gotten to know Don’s brother and son. He, and his family, get along well with my family. Importantly, Don is always available when there is an issue, often checking the house if there is a storm. As a non-resident homeowner, knowing that Don can take care of any issue or emergency that arises, is extremely important. I have recommended Don (DLM) to several friends over the years, and all have been appreciative of the recommendation and continued to work with him.
